The Northern suburbs where graffiti runs free. There's no evidence of any buffing history on this wall, strangely... The clustered lettering of the graffiti pieces/throw-ups below shows the desperation of artists using the limited wall space available. 

Alphington Piece

WCA Stomper

WCA (Wild Child Artists) crew painted this incredible piece at Alphington in Melbourne. WCA began back in 1988 and were amongst the pioneer's of the Melbourne's scene. They are one of Melbourne's longest running, still active crews. This piece shows what they are capable of. Its around 25 meters long and 2-3 meters high.

Trains, Trains, Trains

Cruze and Mos at Watsonia, Northern suburbs, January 2013. The trains are the most highly prized canvas for a writer. Painting panels in the past meant your piece could run through the city and back out to the suburbs. Now days most pieces are buffed (painted over) the same day. Through "The best of Melbourne graffiti" people appear to be hitting the trains more frequently for the fame they get when photos posted. This piece idolizes the old Hitachi class train. These trains still run and usually have good graffiti inside due to the lack of cctv.
